{"id":1646,"date":"2018-08-14T00:01:28","date_gmt":"2018-08-14T04:01:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kirabug.com\/?p=1646"},"modified":"2018-08-13T22:26:40","modified_gmt":"2018-08-14T02:26:40","slug":"day-276-paper-for-maps","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kirabug.com\/wordpress\/2018\/08\/day-276-paper-for-maps\/","title":{"rendered":"Day 276: paper for maps"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Day 276:<\/p>\n<p>Well, I ran out of paper, which definitely puts a crimp on the map production.<\/p>\n<p>And I ran out of paper because I ran out of paper supplies.<\/p>\n<p>I spent the day today harvesting the bamboo or cane or whatever it is down by the waterfront, then boiling the hell out of it.<\/p>\n<p>(It&#8217;s kind of sugary, and now I&#8217;m trying to figure out if I can make sugar crystals out of the water.)<\/p>\n<p>Once the fibers are suitably boiled, they unroll almost like a scroll anyway, and that means I can lay them out and press them and turn them into really low-quality paper.<\/p>\n<p>At least the boiling I can do outside, so I&#8217;m not covered in both soot and sugar.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Day 276: Well, I ran out of paper, which definitely puts a crimp on the map production.
