Day 626:<\/p>\n
Out exploring for sand again today and I discovered a river to my north, just east of the swampy area I mentioned yesterday. I thought I remembered a river when I was looking down from the big mountain, but my sketches are obviously not well-scaled when looking over an area from a mountain and I wasn’t confident I knew how far away it was.<\/p>\n
Anyway, found the river.<\/p>\n
As I walked from its marshy mouth southeast, I discovered a very large sand mound in one of the river’s curves, so I’ll be taking bags and buckets out there tomorrow to bring home as much sand as I can carry.<\/p>\n
I thought about running a mine shaft out to it, but to do that I’d need light, and I use the glass and some torches to provide the light, so it’s a bit of a ducken-and-an-egg problem.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
