Lethal Weapon 3

Photo of the Lethal Weapon 3 backglass. There's a lot of glare on this one from lights behind me.

Lethal Weapon 3, Data East, 1992. Licensed from the movie, the backglass is a bunch of illustrated scenes. I’d tell you more but I haven’t seen the movie so “guy and other guy stand together looking menacing, and then do so again, and this time one has a gun drawn” probably doesn’t cut it.

The topper is a big blue police-style light so that’s interesting at least.

Heist

Heist, Multimorphic, 2020.

The P3 Multimorphic machines are highly modifiable. You buy a cabinet and base kit, then various different games can be played on it. This particular machine is loaded with Heist.

The backglass is a screen (similar to Jersey Jack games) and in this case the screen displays the Heist splash screen. In this case it’s a big (visual size and personal heft) middle aged man in a suit looming over a bunch of other thief-like characters, all in front of a cartoon cityscape.

The playfield is *also* a screen. Which makes things a bit weirder, but also unlike any other game. Here, the playfield is displaying the top scores in the space between the flippers at the bottom and the ramps and toys at the top.

Jurassic Park (Home Edition)

Jurassic Park Home Edition, 2019, Stern. On the left, behind a tree trunk, a tyrannosaurus rex menaces a jeep, center. On the right an extremely tall velociraptor menaces the jeep as well. Lush greenery lines the front lower edge and in the background we see the Jurassic Park gates.

The backbox also has a small LED screen and the word “when dinosaurs ruled the earth” with the Jurassic Park logo on the bottom edge below the speakers.

Joker Poker (Solid State)

Joker Poker. Gottleib. 1978. Three busty ladies with tiny waists dressed in body suits that are supposed to be joker costumes magic an unending trail of cards to dance around the backglass while purple and red clouds billow in a yellow sky. Trippy. There is no way those outfits are supportive enough for those DDD cups though and your body suit should fold under your breasts.
