Future Spa

A photo of the backglass for future spa as described in the post

Future Spa, Bally, 1979.

It’s the spa, but in the future!

In the center, a woman and a man run toward the camera. They are wearing futuristic jumpsuits that cover them from head to toe except for windows cut in the torso. Like, on the woman’s sky blue outfit the first window stretches from just above the pubic hair to just below the breasts, and a second window reveals most of the breasts to the collar bone.

Her collar is popped and stands up to her earlobes.

Oddly, she has a belt around her middle despite half the outfit missing.

Did I mention you can see her nipples through the fabric?

Silver and gold matching boots and gloves cap off the ensemble.

The man behind her has a pornstache and 70s hair. His outfit only has one window which stretches from just above the belt buckle, over the pecs and all the way up, essentially meaning that if he doesn’t stand up straight the whole damn outfit could pop off his shoulders.

His pecs and six pack abs are visible to an unfortunate level. His collar is popped and he doesn’t appear to have a neck.

In the top left corner are two moons (or rocky planets). The top right displays curvy futuristic buildings with three more moons in the background.

In the bottom right corner, a creepy man in no shirt and a strange helmet grabs a hold of a glowing bar while he sits in front of a console.

In the bottom left corner a naked man sits in a tub staring at the naked woman standing next to him. She is holding on to the long fabric strap around another woman’s breasts – that woman is on a swing above.

This thing is creepy, at its best.

Dragon

A photo for the backglass for Dragon, as described in the post.

Dragon, Interflip 1977.

First of all, the color scheme is red, lime green, hot pink, and a saturated blue.

A pink woman with green hair and exposed breasts lay on the floor, presumably unconscious.

A pink man with a green ponytail, wearing a green scaled thong / banana hammock / whatever you would like to call it stands over the woman.

A five-headed dragon with the body of a snake is… attacking the people? Being forced to attack the woman by the man? Has a really frantic case of the zoomies? Its tail coils down the hall behind them. Its heads look like my dogs when they’re total baffled by a squirrel. The man is holding one of the coils in one hand and preparing to throw a fireball with the other.

Did I mention the walkway they’re on looks like it falls off a cliff on both jagged sides?

I love this era of just wacky-ass art.

Bonus: when you knock down a dragon target on the table (and there’s a bunch of them) the machine tries to roar like a dragon but it really sounds like it’s yelling BAAAOOOOOWWWW

Count-Down

Count-Down, 1979, goddamned Gottleib.

An astronaut in a pale blue space suit sits in his cockpit in space while a… alien space princess with pink hair in a scanty red dress and tiara with huge red stone in it floats outside his window.

Either that or he’s high as fuck.

Conquest 200

Photo of Conquest 200's blackglass as described in the post

Built in 1976 by Playmatic, this one captures that whole “fuck yeah ‘Murica” feel of the bicentennial. I’m not sure which is funnier, the giant view of the moon looming over a rocket, or the conestoga wagons riding in from the star field.

Bobby Orr Power Play

A photo of the backglass for Bobby Orr Power Play as described in the post

Bobby Orr Power Play, 1977. This machine celebrates Bobby Orr, ice hockey, the Chicago Blackhawks, and Canada in general. The centerpiece is Bobby Orr in his Blackhawks uniform scoring a goal against the Toronto Mapleleafs goalie. The Mapleleafs logos emblazon the left side of the backglass and the Blackhawks the right.
